Frequently asked questions

Which service should I book?

If pain, restriction, or a movement that doesn’t feel right is your main reason for coming in, choose Bodywork for Pain. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation, choose Restorative Thai or Restorative Flow Massage. For surgical scars or areas that feel different after surgery, choose Scar Tissue + Post-Surgery Bodywork.

What’s the difference between Restorative Thai and Restorative Flow Massage?

Restorative Thai is fully clothed and takes place on a mat, using slow compression, gentle movement, rocking, and supported positioning. Restorative Flow takes place on a massage table, using oil and flowing strokes. Both offer space to slow down and receive.

What should I wear?

For Thai massage, wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For table massage, you can undress to your comfort level and will be covered with a sheet, with only the area being worked on uncovered.

Do you offer prenatal and postpartum care?

Yes. During pregnancy, you can choose table-based Prenatal Massage or fully clothed Prenatal Thai Massage. After birth, choose Bodywork for Pain for discomfort or movement concerns, or Scar Tissue + Post-Surgery Bodywork for C-section scars. Postpartum care can continue well beyond the early weeks.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

We’ll begin by talking about what brings you in, what you’ve noticed, and what you’d most like to get from our time together. Your session will be shaped around those priorities, with room to adjust pressure, positioning, and the approach as we go.

Where are you located, and where can I park?

My office is at 1300 Jackson St, Suite B200, Golden, CO 80401. Enter through Golden Bodyworker and Associates, then head downstairs.

Street parking is available with a two-hour limit. There’s also a nearby parking lot accessed from 14th Street. You’ll find directions to both the office and parking lot in the Find Me in Golden section.

What is Yin • Breathe • Roll, and do I need any experience?

Yin • Breathe • Roll is a restorative self-massage class where we explore how to use therapeutic balls in different areas of the body. It’s a chance to slow down, release tension, and develop practical ways to tend to yourself when you’re aching—so you feel more confident caring for your body beyond class.

No experience is needed, and therapy balls are provided. Classes meet Fridays, 6–7 p.m., at PranaTonic Yoga + Wellness in Golden.
